JVP says they want government response to a caretaker government offer by tomorrow.
Waruna Karunatilake in Colombo, 2016 slt 30.08.01. The JVP said today that it expects the government to respond to their offer to formulate a care taker government by tomorrow. The JVP held two rounds of talks with President Kumaratunga and said that it would support the government in Parliament if the government reduce the cabinet to 20 members and passed the five independent commissions in parliament. President Kumaratunga has scheduled a meeting with her party's decision making central Committee tonight. The Party is expected to decide on the JVP offer at the meeting. end
