Four Colombo ministers quit ahead of reshuffle
Gulf-News, September 14. Four rebel ministers of the ruling People's Alliance (PA) government have quit their posts, a day ahead of a scheduled cabinet reshuffle and vowed not accept any more portfolios while accusing the government for failing to keep to its promises and expectations.Though few believed them, the ministers said one of the reasons for their resignation was to help Kumaratunga overcome the difficulty in pruning down the cabinet to 20 from the existing 44.
