Terrorist suspect overpowered in mid-air drama over Atlantic
Hindu, December 23. Amid heightened security at installations around the U.S. and Europe in the post-September 11 period, an American Airlines flight from Paris to Miami was diverted to Boston's Logan International Airport yesterday after a person on board tried to ignite explosives hidden in his shoes.However, according to an AFP report French police today said the terrorist suspect was a Sri Lankan national travelling on a British passport.
