Electricity cuts to be extended
Waruna Karunatilake in Colombo, 1946 slt 17.01.01. The one hour power cut is to be extended up to two and half hours a day from next week. The Minister for power and energy Karu Jayasuriya said this could be extended to four hours. He said the Ceylon Electricity board was loosing 20 million rupees a month because electricity meters have not been fixed in a large number of house holds by the board. end
