Chandrika backs off from confrontation
Gulf News, February 20. President Chandrika Kumaratunga yesterday backed off from its first major confrontation with her uneasy cohabitation government and agreed to a cabinet appointment she had blocked for over two months.President Kumaratunga's office said she agreed to appoint Agricultural Minister S.B.
