LTTE demands army withdrawal from Tamil areas
HindustanTimes, March 3. At a massive rally signifying a ‘Tamil Upsurge’ in Vavuniya on Friday, the LTTE upped the ante by demanding the withdrawal of the Sri Lankan armed forces from the ‘traditional homeland’ of the Tamils in the North and East of the island, and the dismantling of state-sponsored Sinhalese colonies there, media reports said.
