JVP protest against MOU

Wimal Weerawansa, One of the members of the parliament for the Marxist
People's Liberation Front or, Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) address
supporters in Colombo, on Monday after protesting against the memorandum of
understanding signed between the Sri Lankan government and the Liberation
Tigers of Tamil Eelam, (LTTE) saying that the government has betrayed the
people of Sri Lanka by entering into a deal with the rebels. The government
and the rebels signed a long-term bilateral truce on Feb 22. The deal is
viewed as a prelude for peace talks to end the 18-year long ethnic conflict
