LTTE Supporting Maoist Activities, Centre Tells Tribunal - Outlook

The union government today told a tribunal examining the validity of the ban on LTTE that the outfit was supporting Maoist activities and would pose danger to the sovereignty and unity of the country if it was not proscribed. S Lanka rejects 'atrocity' photos - BBC News
google.com, 2010-10-19 18:14:20 EST. Sri Lanka's foreign minister has cast doubt on newly released photos that are said to show a massacre of Tamils during the country's civil war.

On an official UK visit, GL Peiris said images released by the Global Tamil Forum were a bid by rebel sympathisers to tarnish Sri Lanka's image.

Some of the pictures apparently show the bloodstained bodies of bound and blindfolded young people.
