Krishna spells out Lanka road map for political settlement - Times of India

NEW DELHI: Stating that the end of the armed conflict in Sri Lanka has provided an "unparalleled opportunity" to address all outstanding issues, foreign minister S M Krishna on Saturday reiterated in Colombo that a meaningful devolution package and building upon the 13th amendment would help create the necessary conditions for a lasting political settlement.

Inaugurating the Consulate General of India's office in Jaffna, he said, "We hope the process of dialogue would start soon with the participation of all communities. The ultimate goal is to live in dignity and peace," he said. More...Discuss this story
